This is the journey of a 43 year old guy living in Virginia Beach. Come join me while I run a business, be a long distance dad, work on my finances, run a singles group, and date women that turn out to be a little crazy, all while working on my spirituality.
Since I and most people think Starbucks is a good place to meet people. I wonder if it's okay to buy them a drink or something else like you would do in a bar?

I can't help you there but see how the conversation goes then maybe next time you see her you can.
Mike; I am so sorry I have not been around in awhile. I can see that you have not heard my : STOP OVER THINKING!! in awhile. So...STOP OVER THINKING IT!! and just do what feels right. Have a great day!! Maria
Maria took the words right out of my mouth..you are OVERTHINKING again..but seeing as you asked I do not think you should offer to buy her a coffee... in a bar one expects that but in Starbucks I do believe inappropiate.... Lyn
Eh, that'd feel weird to me, Mike. It's not as if I'd get more than one drink at a sitting at a coffee shop. I might not at a bar, either, but I could always request a soda or club soda with lime type drink. You are the only one I've ever heard who tries to meet people (dates) from Starbuck's. I've had first meetings "dates" there, but would never think to pick up someone there, or be picked up there. I'd consider it at a book store cafe.
...everyone's entitled to their own opinion....do what feels right to you. If someone asks me if I want another cup-o' coffee, I'll probably say: "sure..thanks!" Gem :-)
